That's the kind of weather we've had this week at Jocassee

Cloudless blue skies, light breezes from the NE, no rain, no thunderstorms, no wild weather exploding from the top of Blue Wall, as it is supposed to do nearly daily this time of year. Stolen, this Jocassee weather we expect, adore and live with a certain alertness to. Stolen by a tropical storm that tracked east of us, far enough east for us to miss the outer rain and wind bands. Far enough east to suck in the high that has been over us this last week and more. It’s what tropical storms do, if you’re on the west side. It’s our good fortune to be on this side of Dorian, but mercy could we use some rain. The waterfalls would cry for some, if only they could. They’re nearly tearless. In the absence of tropical weather this is our driest time of year. A cosmic dilemma, isn’t it. ~B
