THE only NATURALIST-LED TOURS of LAKE JOCASSEE and the JOCASSEE GORGES. THE DIFFERENCE IS KNOWLEDGE, LOVE OF PLACE, PASSION

OUR TOURS

Every tour of Lake Jocassee is uniquely special. We just never know what we're going to see! It could be Oconee Bells blooming, or a bald eagle soaring overhead, or multitudes of butterflies puddling on a rock. Some things, though, we can count on. Do you like waterfalls? Lake Jocassee has waterfalls we can swim under! Do you favor wild mountain rivers? Pristine wilderness rivers flow into and provide the cold, pure water of Lake Jocassee. Enjoy fall’s color explosion, winter’s solitude and abundant waterfowl (starring the ethereal loon), and spring’s rebirth of nature. And of course, summer is for swimming and playing in the waterfalls! You’ll never know what to expect, and you’ll never be disappointed.

A DAY ON THE LAKE

This six-hour Saturday, gives us a chance to see more, do more, and enjoy more of the Jocassee Gorges via this “blue highway” called Lake Jocassee. This can give us a chance to see all the falls or just spend more time admiring scenic bridges, swimming, exploring areas you don't normally see on our regular tours or just spending more time in either the upper lake or lower lake regions. Join us to explore a land of wonder and mystery, where one never knows what we’ll see. Six Hour Saturdays are available the second Saturday of every month. $75 per person adults, $67.5 kids 4-16.

SUNSET TOURS

The noisy power boats have headed in by now. Those pesky jet skis too.  The sun is getting lower in the sky, the temperature is easing off. It’s time to cruise. In the summer, early morning and late afternoon provide the most pleasant times of day to be on the lake, and since we just can’t seem to get folks up and at em’ for a 6AM tour, we’ve settled for 6PM. We’ll visit some waterfalls, drift up some wild rivers, and then settle in quietly to watch the sunset. The speed range for this event: dawdle to pokey. Ever watch the sunset while floating in a calm, cool mountain lake? Perhaps with your favorite beverage in hand? You can do it with us.  This is a 3 hour tour. $45.00 per person.

ALL SUNSET TOUR RESERVATIONS MUST BE BOOKED BEFORE 12:00 NOON THE DAY OF THE TOUR.

FULL MOON RISING TOURS

Once a month, on the evening of the rising of the full moon, join us for a tranquil, convivial three hours or so on the lake.  We'll visit some waterfalls, wander up a wild river or two, then settle in for the rising of the full moon.  Speed range -- dawdle to pokey. Adults: $45.00 pp.
